Actively involved in clinical research with autologous bone marrow or adipose tissue derived mononuclear, Mesenchymal and Very small embryonic like stem cells. Dr Bansal and his team have pioneered several new protocols for treatment of Spinal cord injury, Cerebral palsy, Autism, Optic atrophy, Multiple sclerosis, ALS and other neurodegenerative disorders.
He is amongst the first few Indian clinicians to start treating CLI, AVN, Difficult Non-union, Non healing wounds. Currently conducting IRB approved Non commercial trial in Multiple Sclerosis and ALS patients in USA; Cardiac trial with Bioheart USA ; Multicenter Spinal cord injury and Osteoarthritis Knee trial India.

He had developed Interlocking Nailing System for forearm fractures & locked nail for fractures of lower end radius (Patent Granted,) with corresponding publications to his credit.
